Prerequisites
Before you start, ensure you have:
- A Tosibox Lock (e.g., Lock 150, Lock 500, etc.)
- A Tosibox Key (i.e., HW Key)
- A computer with a USB port (for physical key) or the Tosibox software installed.
- An active internet connection
Steps to Match the Key with the Lock
Step 1- Power Up the Lock:
-
- Connect the Tosibox Lock to a power source and ensure it is powered on.
- Connect the Lock to your network using an Ethernet cable.

Step 2- Insert the Key:
-
- Physical Key: Insert the Tosibox Key into the Lock’s USB port. Wait 10-15 seconds, and the Lock and the Key have been paired. You can then unplug the key from the lock.
- During this process, the devices exchange their security certificates and public keys, establishing a trust relationship where the Key becomes the Master Key.
- Alternatively Remote Matching can be used.

Step 3- Taking the Key in use:
-
- Insert the matched Key into the USB port of your computer. You should notice an auto play window open on your desktop.

- If the auto play window does not open, double click the executable file located in the Key’s folder (Setup_Tosibox.exe).
- If your computer asks whether you want to allow Tosibox to make changes to your computer, click yes.
- The Key software will ask for a password that you can enter if you wish (recommended). By entering a password, you can prevent unauthorized use of the Key. Store the password safely.

- The Key is now ready to be used.
Step 4- Confirmation:
-
- The Key software opens a window showing the Locks that have been matched to the Key.
- Connect the Key with the desired Lock by clicking the Lock’s “Connect” icon.
- The Key info dialogue shows the status of the connection between Key and Lock.
- The Key's LED (for physical key) will turn solid green, indicating a successful match.
Troubleshooting:
-
- Key Not Detected: Ensure the Key is properly inserted into the USB port. Try a different USB port if necessary. If your operating system is not able to recognizes the device try restarting the pc.
- Cannot Access Lock UI: Double-check the lock's IP address and ensure your computer is on the same network. Restart the Lock if needed.
